• Follow Agile and Scrum practices to actively promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint
• Optimize scrum team velocity to identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance
• Deliver capabilities using agile practices while also following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes as appropriate to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met
• Partner with discipline managers about governance policies and adherence to corporate standards
• Facilitate the Scrum Agile ceremonies for the teams
• Collaborate with product owners, program or project managers to communicate delivery of work product from the team and escalate key risks and issues impeding scrum team effectiveness
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
• Interact with internal customers
• Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Detailed responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate all scrum master activities ensuring that appropriate communications takes place across internal functional groups and with external partners as applicable
• Define program specific requirements and deliverables
• Drive to closure program issues related to day to day activities among multiple programs
• Communicate status & issues to management in a timely manner Escalate issues appropriately
• Track, update & monitor project summary dashboard
• Demonstrable knowledge of Agile techniques such as: User Story development/sizing, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing, Pairing and the use of Agile Games
• Articulated knowledge of Agile principles and practices, ability to transfer that understanding at all levels of the organization
• Expanded understanding of Agile approaches (Scrum, Kanban, XP, Scaled team structure)
• Ability to leverage understanding of facilitation, continuous improvement, empowerment, transparency and servant leadership to empower team growth
• Experience with multiple methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, Dev Ops
• Understanding of Agile empirical data, as well as valuable Scrum patterns and techniques such as: burn-down techniques, numerous retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc
• Ability to effectively coordinate efforts with multiple teams within a matrixed organization
• Experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Agile Central, Confluence, etc.

• Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate in a matrixed organization and collaborate to build successful relationships

• Demonstrated ability to consult, facilitate and coach while adapting to the needs and learning styles of a diverse team
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM I) or higher
• Experience with Jira and other PM tools
• Direct experience with training and moving teams from Waterfall to Agile

Communication:

• Facilitates team and stakeholder meetings effectively
• Holds regular status meetings with BU heads

• Frequent interaction with onshore product Engineering team

• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
• Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
• Astute cross cultural awareness and experience in working with international teams (especially US)
