Differentiated by the quality of our people and our relentless drive to deliver the most successful outcomes, we align our capabilities to our customers' objectives to create a lasting positive impact SUMMARY: Electrical Engineer with Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 18+ years of experience on basic and detailed design and project co-ordination of Electrical works related to EHV and HV Substations/Switchyard projects Should have executed at least two, medium to large projects, as Electrical Lead / Engineering Group Supervisor in an engineering office or consultancy of repute Has a good knowledge of Electrical System and Physical design, the principles, and practices of related technical areas and of coordinating with other technical disciplines Candidate should have exposure to Indian, US, Euro and other foreign codes/standards and local practices.

Contact Maintains contacts with client representatives as directed, with suppliers, appropriate field personnel and other disciplines to ensure the coordination of the work within the project or assignment and compliance with Bechtel/client requirements BASIC JOB DUTIES: 1Plans, develops, coordinates and reviews engineering work within a discipline on a project or assignment in a global business unit 2Supervises the day-to-day technical work of discipline engineers, specialists, designers, and drafters.
3Conducts annual performance reviews for direct reports in accordance with approved procedures and holds career development discussions 4Prepares or oversees the preparation of discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget, and manages implementation and performance accordingly 5.
Estimates staffing needs and schedules and assigns work to meet schedule dates 6Coordinates with client representatives as delegated to obtain their approval on phases of work 7Reviews and approves key engineering drawings and calculations, including field and design documents relating to the discipline.
8Coordinates assigned engineering work with other project groups 9Ensures that engineers supervised receive appropriate on-the-job training for their professional development 10.
Promotes the creation of a work environment, supported by leadership, which fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction JOB KNOWLEDGE:Extensive Knowledge of EHV and HV AIS Switchyards and GIS Substations, which includes design of Switchyards/Substations Layouts, Preparation of Single Line Diagrams, Protection & Metering diagrams, Control Panel Schematics Electrical system studies and conversant with shortcircuit, load flow & voltage drop calculations,relay setting & protection coordination of the system, cable sizing, Grounding Should have worked on equipmentsizing, specifications,MR preparation, technicalbid evaluation and vendorprint reviews of various electrical equipment like Switchyard Equipment, CB/CT/PTs, SCADA, Transformers, Busducts/Cable Bus, GIS, MV & LV Switchgears,MCCs, DC systems / AC UPS, Cables, etc Integration of new plant with existing Electrical system.
Should be conversant with electrical layouts like raceways, lighting, grounding & lightning protection, Switchyard and Substation layouts etc Should possess good knowledge of internationalcodes & standards Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods Knowledge of inter discipline coordination Knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved.
Knowledge of industry /regulatory codes and standards, and design and/or layout criteria Skill in oral and written communication, demonstrated skill in leadership Working knowledge of Software like ETAP shall be preferred Insulation Coordination and EMT studies using PSCAD (Preferred)
