Job description:Lead and Perform Passive safety simulations (Structure/Occupant/Driveline/ VRU/Electrical Safety) and design solution for Cabin, by evaluating proposed concepts and drive Cost effective, implementable design solutions through Cross Functional CollaborationLead and develop Methods/Tools aligned to Automation, lead time reduction and physical validation reductionOwn Full Responsibility for Passive safety feature performance deliverables for Volvo Product PortfolioAn active member in Passive safety network within the Volvo Group and contribute towards Strategies, Roadmap, Advanced Engineering activities and Method development.
Ability to work in a Global and Multi-cultural Agile environment with an opportunity to be part of complete Vehicle development life cycleSoft Skills:Demonstrate Leadership, Accountability and Commitment in securing Quality, Delivery and Product feature for all Passive safety related deliveries from BangaluruExcellent communication skills, Learning on fly, Team player, Emphasis on Detailing & Problem-solving skillsQualification:Masters' degree in a Mechanical/AutomotiveDomain Expertise/Skill sets:6 - 10 Years Experience in performing Passive safety simulations and driving design though simulation.
Hand-on Expertise in CAE Tools like ANSA, HyperWorks, Primer, Metapost and LS DynaDeep knowledge on Vehicle Safety regulations (ECE/FMVSS) and Consumer Metrics Protocols (NCAPs)Experience/exposure on Battery and Fuel cell Vehicle Technology is preferredKnowledge of Optimization tools will be an added advantageExposure to Physical Validation (Vehicle Safety regulations/Protocols) and should have sound Automotive Vehicle development Process knowledge
