We believe teamwork and collaboration is the foundation for great products and an attractive workplace Who are youTo be successful in this position you need to be a team player and have an analytic mindset of a true problem solver As Sr Engineer-CAD/Tolerance stack-up, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to provide complete range of design solutions for powertrain needs to deliver the sustainable productsROLE DESCRIPTION AND EXPECTATIONS
- Provide solutions from concept to industrialization phases of complex parts and components involved in varying projects Also, should be able to perform packaging studies and propose intelligent solutions.
- Design casted/forged metallics parts, casted plastic, pipes, brackets, handle supplier parts etc
- Provide tolerance stack-up studies for project needs
- Ensure design correctness and completeness for all design releases within the area of responsibility
- Communicates relevant design and project requirements to external design counterpart as applicable if the detailed design is performed by an outside entity
- Ensure the deliveries are made as per the requirement and timelines
- Frequent interactions with their counterparts, clarify the requirements and deliver accordingly
- Able to work according to Volvo GTT hardware development processes
- Recognized as a dedicated person with the player mindset that takes ownership for the work that needs to be done.

REQUIRED EDUCATION BE/ BTech / MTech / MS in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldEXPERIENCE, SKILLS, TRAINING
- BE/ BTech / MTech/MS in Mechanical Engineering
- 6+ years of automotive experience preferably in the truck Powertrain industry
- Good experience in Creo Parametric, Creo View, PDM
- Strong in Engineering fundamentals involving complete development loop for projects
- Good knowledge about the truck/powertrain layout and packaging of the components.
- Good knowledge of the materials and material selection
- Knowledge and good use of quality tools - SFMEA, DfaM, DFMEA, RCA, etc
- Knowledge of product development cycle
- Strong and fluent communication skills
