Job DescriptionWe are searching for a Senior Electrical Engineer with Rail experience to join us here at AECOM The Bangalore office has an established track record of successfully delivering major rail projects Our office has good transport links and accommodates a multidisciplinary transportation design centre Agile, flexible & remote working options will be considered You will have proven design experience of delivering projects to client's satisfaction at the appropriate standard, ensuring accuracy of drawings and calculations, ensuring designs are economic and appropriate and that the relevant codes and standards are complied with.

You will have strong business development and client relationships skills and the ability to develop and manage the work of others You will also have the technical ability and knowledge and competence to guide and teach other We are now looking to enhance and grow this team with individuals who have a sound technical background, who share our enthusiasm and determination, to support our expanding workload The team provides design, assessment, inspection, construction support and management services on a wide range of rail projects Our services offered to our clients include feasibility studies, scheme designs and detailed designs Our clients are from the private and public sector as well as various Tier 1 contractors.

Our current portfolio of works comprises a diverse mix of international Rail infrastructure projects The team provides design, assessment, inspection, construction support and management services on a wide range of rail projectsThe appropriate level of technical expertise is required in order that the Job/ Project Accountabilities listed below can be carried out to the necessary standards

• Responsible for the technical and commercial delivery of Rail E&P projects, with a specific remit to delivery of various Signalling Power, Points Heating, Lighting, Power system analysis, Earthing and Bonding designs etc
• Receive a brief from Project Manager
• Contribute to concept design
• Where required safely carry out site surveys
• Develop detailed design for Project Manager approval
• Attend design team meetings as appropriate
• Obtain design information from sub-consultants
• Produce detailed design information including calculations and design sketches
• Liaise with CAD Technician for the production of drawings
• Prepare technical reports
• Send detailed design information to external parties
• Formulate the project specifications for construction
• Respond to queries resulting from the tender process
• Support the site during the construction phase if necessary, to ensure construction is in accordance with specifications/drawings
• Carry out risk assessments and provision design information for the Health and Safety file.
  
  
• Carry out duties of AECOM Client's responsible Engineer (CRE)/ Lead Engineer
• Experienced in the use of UK Network Rail, Railway Group Standards as well as the relevant British Standards and Eurocodes
• Understanding of Health and Safety including CDM
• Good standard of written English and communication

QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:

• BE/ BTech or ME/MTech degree in Electrical Engineering
• Chartered Engineer (or working towards) and member of a professional institution
• Strong Electrical Engineering background with Rail industry experience

Minimum Requirements :

• Experienced in Points Heating, Signalling Power, Power system analysis, ETAP, AMTECH etc
• Experienced in the use of UK Network Rail, and Railway Group Standards as well as the relevant British Standards and Eurocodes
• Understanding of Health and Safety including CDM
• Good standard of written English and communication.
