The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills:Summary of Role:Under general supervision applies functional specifications and uses engineering tools to design hardware for product changes and new development Independently processes data, writes engineering reports, and conducts diagnosis of routine hardware malfunctions Contributes in reliability analysis such as risk assessments and Failure Mode Effects Analysis by compiling and examining data Identifies the testing requirement at a system level with the emphasis on complying with test standards and Halliburton's Health, Safety, and Environment procedures Contributes to Halliburton's Intellectual Property portfolio by preparing Invention Disclosures and recognizing ideas that have Intellectual Property potential without disclosing confidential information.

Coordinates with project leads to produce project deliverables by assessing input requirements and applying functional specifications Develops relationships through excellent communication skills and acts as a key resource to provide innovative solutions May participate in professional societies in area of specialization Skills acquired through the completion of a degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline Minimum educational requirement of a master's degree and zero years' experience or bachelor's degree and two or more years' related experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:Design & Development:(primary function)

• Design and develop downhole completions tools
• Design for Manufacturing
• Design Tests and Procedures
• Analyse design issues and identify solutions
• Independently evaluate design and execute tests to meet stated requirements
• Create Product Support Documentation
• Participates and facilitates Mechanical Design Reviews
• Creation of new Intellectual Property

Product Maintenance & Manufacturing:(secondary function)

• Support Technology Transfer (Documentation and Training)
• Product Support to Operations
• Product Support to Manufacturing
• Troubleshooting of operational issues
• Product Line governance and continuous improvement

0QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEExperience:

• Proficient in mechanical parts design, taking interfaces, materials selection and performance envelope in consideration Understanding how to go from basic principles to finished prototypes Able to perform mechanical and structural calculations and estimate effects of pressure and temperature in the design Understanding of Threads and tubular interfaces
• Solid knowledge in CAD tools and able to perform 3D Modelling in SolidWorks.
  
  Capability to create and understand drawings (GD&T) Familiar with Check-lay-outs and assembly techniques for tubular products
• Proficient in writing in English and Portuguese technical documentation, including but not limited to test procedures, specifications and other required documents based on project requirements Design review skills, able to present the technical challenges of a project
• Desired to understand fundamentals of seals and valves.
  
  Exposure to electro-mechanics and sensors integrations to mechanical designs
• Desired to have experience in Liaising with customers regarding the initial scope of requirements and feasibility work, product development, design reviews, project milestones, and reliability expectations
• Desired to have understanding and exposure to ISO and API standards and experience in validating products under those standards
• Practiced in taking design projects from concept, through prototyping and manufacture to final production
