Apply today and join us for a life-changing career About the department The Commercial & Corporate Affairs, GBS unitis responsible for driving deliverables for multiple Corporate Vice President (CVP) areas including Commercial Planning, Multi-Channel engagement, Marketing & Market Access, and Commercial operations The Commercial & Corporate Affairs GBS unit also provides competitive assessments & market research for Novo Nordisk (NN) therapy areas including diabetes, obesity, NASH, cardiovascular, chronic kidney disease, rare diseases and digital health We support global commercial strategy, corporate strategy including new product planning, and Research & Development (R&D) teams enabling strategic and operational decision making The Position The primary purpose of this position is to provide high quality monitoring and insights on competitor products, competitor pipelines and competitor R&D and commercial strategies, enabling Novo Nordisk to make informed decisions to ensure current and future success of our portfolio of products within Diabetes.
Further, this position contributes to portfolio analyses and projects on intelligence topics of special interest to Novo Nordisk and contributes to the continued improvement of the competitive intelligence function and application of competitor insights in Novo Nordisk
- Provide high quality and data driven news monitoring and insights related to the competitive landscape and competitor strategies within areas of coverage Areas of coverage are agreed with your manager and subject to change
- Follow scientific/clinical congresses within areas of coverage and report key insights timely and in high quality to relevant stakeholders Participate in conference planning, attending (physicially or virtually), and high-quality reporting.
- Follow and report on Novo Nordisk's key competitors, as assigned Develop and maintain competitor overview and insights within areas of coverage Proactively suggest and drive ad hoc analyses on key competitor topics of importance to Novo Nordisk with the aim of informing key strategic project and portfolio decisions
- Ensure strong support and challenge to Novo Nordisk's key R&D projects, and commercial brands within areas of coverage on project, portfolio and corporate level Project coverage is agreed with your manager and subject to change.
Build and maintain a strong network internally in the organisation with relevant stakeholders in CSCA, Medical Affairs, R&D, BD and Reg Affairs - Lead projects on key intelligence topics (KIT) of strategic interest to Novo Nordisk Contribute to continuous development and further improve the competitive intelligence function and deliverables in Novo Nordisk and promote sharing of competitive intelligence insights and better practices
Qualifications
- PhD or master's degree within Medicine or Life/Pharmaceutical Sciences with 10+ years of working experience within the pharmaceutical industry
- Ideally (but not mandatory) some experience in professionally communicating scientific, medical and commercial information, both orally and written to audiences at various organisational levels, including senior management and governance boards.
- Insights into relevant aspects for the development and marketing of drugs for areas of coverage, including:
- Strong science and disease understanding
- Strong understanding of design and execution of clinical trials
- Strong ability to interpret clinical data
- Solid understanding of regulatory processes and guidelines
- Good marketing understanding.
- Good manufacturing insight
