• The Group CCO has established and operationalised a Centre of Control Testing Excellence in CBA India This role is part of this highly specialised team which will provide an internal control testing service to compliment the work of people based in Australia and other international locations The Centre of Control Testing Excellence team will focus on providing control testing capability for automated controls across the Group as well as growing its service offering at speed
• To be successful, you will need to assume responsibility for understanding and conducting design and operational testing of a diverse range of automated and semi-automated business controls as well as communicating with a diverse set of stakeholders This role will champion and drive a continuous improvement mindset that support the strengthening of the risk of the Group.
  
  

This position reports to the Executive Manager, Centre of Control Testing ExcellenceA small team of Managers and Senior Analysts report to this positionExperience: 13+ yearsThis role is focused on, but not limited to:Lead and coach a team in the timely delivery of an effective Controls Assurance Program (CAP), utilising CBA's Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) to provide an assurance result over the effectiveness of the control environment supporting different BU/SUSupport the EM with talent management - recruiting, hiring, training, coaching and development of the teamProvide coaching and mentoring to junior staff allowing them to develop their risk and assurance knowledge and become more rounded risk professionalsApply advanced SQL and IT assurance expertise to conduct tier 2 quality review and challenge of control testing outcomes and documentation quality and record keeping of the team, providing coaching and feedback as requiredParticipate and provide challenge and support in stakeholder meetings when communicating assurance test results.

Pragmatically and respectfully resolving escalations from the Manager/team where there is disagreement on test results between the BU/SU and the Automated Control testing teamCollaborate and work across the Line 1 Risk Community delivering appropriate risk outcomesProvide guidance to internal stakeholders on addressing control deficiencies and overall control environment upliftAssist the Executive Manager by developing the control testing schedule, agree and socialise scheduling with the team and internal stakeholdersAssist the Executive Manager in developing, uplifting and embedding the automated control testing and continuous monitoring capability and methodology, including:Leading continuous improvement of the business control environment by using analytics and data to generate insights and implement continuous monitoringLeading assurance optimisation through building analytics to collate test information for control testing.

Developing advanced analytics for data related control assurance to test whether controls using data are producing the required data outputs (continuous control monitoring)Timely preparation of papers for the various CBA India governance forumsProvide timely and regular reporting on automated control assurance outcomes to BU/SU stakeholdersAbility to think innovatively and outside of the box when faced with challengesImplement and perform controls owned by the Automated Control Testing function in line with the CAP standard and ORMF requirementsIn this role you will:Provide Business/Support Units with a timely assurance outcome over the design and operating effectiveness of automated/semi-automated controlsCoach the team in providing a timely and high quality Line 1 assurance outcome over automated and semi-automated business controls in line with CBA's ORMFWork closely with the business, Chief Controls Office (CCO)/Line 1 Risk community and technology teams in technical code reviews as part of control design and operational effectiveness testing to ensure the control is both fit for purpose and useReview and provide ongoing feedback to junior team members on the appropriateness and quality levels of testing and testing documentation in line with expected standards.

Lead continuous improvement of the Group's Control Environment through the provision of insights and reporting to enable the timely and effective remediation of controlsLead continuous improvement of CAP through implementation of continuous control monitoring, automation and control rationalisationConduct performance reviews with input from CBA Australia teams and work with the Executive Manager to set KPIs for the teamImplement and support the team's development plans and monitor and report on completion of mandatory trainingDevelop and maintain the Team's Standard Operating Procedures, templates and any dashboards and reportingUtilise analytics skills to develop and communicatedashboards for various stakeholdersRole-model the Group's values and behaviours, and provide coaching to the team on their behaviour and required skillsAdhere to the Code of Conduct.
