Purpose of your roleThis role is an excellent opportunity to gain a broad understanding of the Cost Centre of excellence and its role in FIL's Financial Services business The role will be primarily around managing and owning the end-to-end Cost accrual process for various cost heads under the COE The candidate is required to demonstrate alignment to the wider CFO goals, work towards creation, implementation, and simplification of the cost COE to deliver key KPIs by implementing value added analysis and strategic mindsetKey ResponsibilitiesThe roles and responsibilities will be as follows:Oversight and management of end-to-end accrual allocations from both legal and management prospectiveDrive projects that help in simplification and automation of allocationsAs part of one of F1nance2023 objectives of 'addressing the drivers of cost & complexity, lead complex programs/projects independently to drive transformation effortsRelationship building and communicating with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
Maintain a high level of risk awareness and develop a sound control environment to enable risk mitigationDeal with adhoc queries from stakeholders and assist in various upcoming projects in financial controlExperience and qualifications RequiredQualified Accountant/ MBA Finance with up to 10-12 years of relevant work experience in Finance with exposure to accounting, data analytics, reporting and reconciliationsUnderstanding of cost accounting and its downstream impact on Controllership and business FinanceShows attention to detail and an appetite to dive into issues in depth as neededStrong analytical skills including knowledge of accounting principlesBasic knowledge of the Microsoft Office software packages Proficient with Microsoft ExcelKnowledge of CFP and Essbase would be an advantage.
