Job DescriptionSenior ResearcherREF23015AAbout the jobThis position serves as the primary Senior Researcher owner for all products in the NielsenIQ portfolio This hands-on leadership position offers the right candidate the opportunity to define how a global data product company uses user research to deliver success for its customers and drive profitabilityResponsibilities

• You will be Consulting with UX Designers and Product Leaders to identify, define, plan, conduct and evaluate their own rapid, effective research projects across a range of NIQ products
• You will be Owning all the aspects of research operations across the enterprise participant management, governance, knowledge management, tools, competency, communication and advocacy
• Reviewing the research artefacts and findings (scripts, result summaries, data analysis) for quality and bias.
  
  
• Observing facilitators of UX research studies, to coach, improve and maintain quality standards
• Curate a body of knowledge for user understanding, keeping it socialized and relevant as new studies are completed, with well governed structure and process
• Conducting and facilitating your own research studies for strategic company-wide insight and persona refinement, delivering clear and persuasive research findings on time
• Continuously assessing processes to ensure fast, effective research is conducted at scale
• Collaborating with cross-functional Research working groups to develop process and relationships
• Evangelizing UX research and design thinking company wide.
  
  

Qualifications

• Degree-level psychology, human computer interaction, human factors, computer science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in user research or related field
• Expertise in all forms of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including 1:1 and focus groups, longitudinal studies, usability testing, online surveys, etc Both moderated and unmoderated
• Experience using user-generated data and tracking to identify pain points and opportunities.
  
  
• An analytic mindset to converge data from multiple user touchpoints to drive understanding
• Ability to choose, own and manage research operation software and tools within a budget
• A coaching mentality, to enable others to follow best practice and improve their research skills demonstrating the ability to apply research methodologies to inform strategies and product design
• Organized and able to work on multiple simultaneous projects
• Project management skills including the ability to plan all activities to meet a given timeline
• A passion for continuously learning and evolving yourself and your team
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills plus professional conduct
