About Haryana Welfare Society For Hearing Speech Handicapped
Haryana Welfare Society for Hearing & Speech Handicapped was established in the year 1971 with a view to providing education, vocational training, counseling, guidance, and remedial services to hearing impaired children and facilitate their all round development, self-reliance and rehabilitation. Imparting education to these children is the main focus/activity of the Society. Hence the Society has set up seven Welfare Centres at Gurgaon, Hisar, Sirsa, Karnal, Sonepat, Nagina(Mewat) and Raipur Rani, Distt. Panchkula. As per advice of the Government the name of the Society was changed as Haryana Welfare Society for Persons with Speech & Hearing Impairment. The facilities/services offered in these Centres are available to all hearing impaired children irrespective of their area, caste, colour or religion.
