Solaris Administration Linux Job In Osi Digital Private Limited In Hyderabad / Secunderabad, Telangana

Responsibilities Able to work 24X7 shifts on rotational basis for multiple projects Solaris and Linux server management for both on-premises and cloud-based servers for multiple projects Administration of Solaris and Linux OS (Solaris10&11, RHEL/OEL Versions 6,7 and 8) Experience with disk suite, ZFS file systems, FLAR (flash archive), NFS file system, and managing disks/LUNS Experience with managing CDOMs, LDOMs, and Zones Must be capable of managing the servers, managing user accounts, installing and upgrading the servers, as well as solving any kind of problems with the systems.

Must be capable of monitoring the system configuration, performing analysis and tuning, and monitoring the server event log Must be capable of testing the operating system software, the networking software and also the computer hardware Must be capable of monitoring and developing the procedures for backups of the servers Experience with bash scripting and CRONs for automating server tasks Solaris and Linux Vulnerability assessment and Mitigation Good knowledge on SPARC platforms, including M-series, T-series, and S-series servers.

Good knowledge on HP & Dell Servers and Virtual Connect OS, patch, security update and management Administration of AWS, OCI, AZURE cloud technologies Hands on Backup Administration - Veritas NetBackup, Veeam or VRanger would be preferable Experience in Oracle Virtualization technologies OVM and OLVM Added advantage of having knowledge of VMware, VSphere, VCenter, ESXI, VMotion, HA, etc, as well as upgrading VMware tools, VCenter, VSphere, etc.

Required Skills Previous working experience as a Solaris Administrator for 8 to 12 years Knowledge of SPARC platforms including M-series, T-series, and S-series servers and RAID concept It is advantageous to have some working knowledge of SAN technologies and scripting languages like shell and perl Excellent communication, team coordination, interpersonal skills and customer care skills are mandatory Demonstrated ability to use problem solving techniques such as root cause analysis to resolve issues Certifications in Solaris 10&11 and any cloud are an added advantage We are not looking for someone who is Not interested to work from office Not flexible to work during off hours or the weekends
