Job Details
Install and configure new Microsoft SQL Server instances, including AlwaysOn availability groups and failover clustering Experienced in Database Performance, Maintenance and Development to perform the following: Knowledge in Database concepts Knowledge of MS SQL server architecture Database management including backups, recovery, and maintenance Database management for export, import and mass data loads.
Monitoring and resolving data lock/blocking issues Check all statistics related to memory, locks, I/O, database response time, wait events, top sessions, and background processes Create indexes to achieve critical dataset response time for time sensitive reports Responsible for planning, configuring, and maintaining HA (high availability) and DR (disaster recovery) solutions: Backup/Restore, FCI (failover cluster instance), AG (availability groups), Mirroring, Replication, Log-shipping Strong knowledge in MS SQL replication.
Experience in linked servers Troubleshooting knowledge of MS SQL servers DBCC commands knowledge Experience in Create, modify, and optimize SQL Server Agent jobs and maintenance plans Proactively monitor SQL Server maintenance tasks, troubleshoot failed jobs and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Develop documentation and training of routine database administration tasks T-SQL Programming Perform additional tasks as assigned
