The role is responsible for defining IT infrastructure and network strategy, including disaster recovery, security, servers, monitoring, performance, networks and storage This role must ensure reliable 24 x 7 operations and be a champion for our journey to cloud, managing both our internal data center / network footprint and our outsourced data center operations This position will act as a liaison between IT site operations and information security teams Management and continuous improvement of network operations, cloud operations, and on premise IT infrastructure /operations Assess single points of failure in infrastructure and recommend actions as appropriate Negotiate and manage contracts with key service providers to ensure service levels are met Ability to continue to optimize the cost of cloud-based work loads residing in Google Cloud as part of overall infrastructure cost optimization Demonstrates the business and financial acumen necessary to develop and present data-based ideas and solutions in a clear, concise, organized manner Experience managing regulated infrastructure (eg.
CGP, CUI) Third-party management, working closely with vendors and sourcing managers Experience with specific technology areas and vendors (although primarily a technically hands-off role, the following leadership experience is important): Firewalls (Checkpoint, FortiGate) Cloud Management (Google, Azure - IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) Network Access Controls (ClearPass) Network Segmentation (Zscaler) VOIP telephony (Avaya, Zoom or other) Solutions: Veeam backup On Prem (IBM AIX / Power Series, Linux / x86, VMware) Database (Oracle, Microsoft SQL) Identity (MS AD) Endpoint security (Crowdstrike, Carbon Black/Bit9, McAfee/Trellix) Encryption (Thales)
