Messaging Systems EngineerBechtel is currently seeking Information Technology Specialist to join a distributed Messaging teamThe team is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting the global hybrid Messaging environment based on Exchange Online and Microsoft Exchange 2016The candidate will be responsible for interfacing with the fellow IS&T support teams, providing tier 2/3 support, and problem resolution in a global hybrid messaging and environment, predominantly based on Exchange Online and Exchange 2016The team has regular conference calls where on-going projects & issues are discussed, and regular operational updates are provided Position Duties/ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for: - .

Tier 2/3 Messaging support consisting of Exchange Online and Exchange 2016 hybrid environment, including 'on call' duty, to highly available (Exchange 2016 DAG) environment Document standard work processes, including procedures to be used by the own team or other support teams Providing support and administration for Mimecast SMTP gateway .

Well versed with Exchange PowerShell scripting Typical Messaging Administration, including: Management of user mailboxes Management of shared mailboxes, distribution lists, mail contacts etc .

Security patch testing Monitoring Exchange performance Mail flow troubleshooting Exchange configuration management Metrics gathering and reporting.

Working with NOC to establish SCOM/ORION alerts and provide Tier 3 support, as needed Handing escalated advanced clients (Outlook, OWA, ActiveSync, IMAP etc) issues .

Product upgrades Retention tags/policies administration PSTs Migration to Exchange Online Management of Microsoft 365 groups Other duties as required by the supervisor.

Position and SkillsProficiency in Exchange Online hybrid environment - Advanced Proficiency in Exchange 2016 - Advanced Exchange 2016 High Availability (DAG) - Advanced Working knowledge of Windows Server 2016/19 Administration - Intermediate .

Working knowledge of Active Directory and LDAP - Advanced Knowledge of Mimecast SMTP gateway - Intermediate System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and ORION - Beginner PowerShell/VB Scripting - Intermediate Knowledge of SaaS and Cloud Computing methodologies - Intermediate .

Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft 365 Products suite and various Azure service offerings Other Remarks/QualificationsRecognized degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited college or university, or specialized courses in Microsoft Exchange Server / Microsoft 365 or equivalent work experience in a related field 3+ years of IT experience with a focus in troubleshooting and administrating email systems based on Microsoft Exchange Microsoft Exchange Server / Microsoft 365 certification or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification, with a focus on Exchange and Collaborative Technologies, is highly desirable.

Must be a motivated self-starter, capable of working independently in a virtual team environment Experience of a hybrid environment (Exchange On-prem and Microsoft 365) is desirable .

Knowledge of other Microsoft 365 products is desirable Any migration experience is desirable
