Job Description: Sr Manager Product development is responsible for all aspects of the formulation, product/process development, scale up and commercialization of dietary supplement dosage forms This role collaborates with cross-functional teams closely to innovate and develop products for new launches Research, develop and optimize product formulations for brand products within Nutricosmetics, Nutraceutical and Health Supplement Products portfolio, ensuring they adhere to all US Regulatory requirements, out class competition and live up to customer expectations Develop new and improved dietary supplement formulations including film-coated tablets, chewable tablets, two-piece capsules and powder blends Lead the development of robust, stable and effective formulations for manufacturing at 3rd party manufacturers Establish stability of each product by getting stability testing (accelerated/on-going) done on all new products and review/report results in collaboration with Quality Assurance Dept.

Participate in the set-up and commissioning of R&D and pilot-scale facilities starting from facility identification up to procurement and installation of equipment and instrumentations Evaluate raw materials for suitability and standardize their specifications/requirements Work with procurement and finance team to select materials (excipients / active ingredients) that meet financial goals and contribute to cost saving initiatives of the company Recommend ingredients/processes which will improve overall cost of each product Identify substitutes for imported raw materials.

Coordinate with Product Development, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, QC/QA and Supply Departments to ensure that projects are planned and executed in a timely manner Lead technology transfer and scale-up operations to manufacture products in-house/outsourced manufacturers Conduct field trial of new products and ensuring product performance suiting the recommended application Collaborate cross functionally to understand consumer needs; develop formulations and processes to support new product launches, meeting deliverables in a timely manner with excellent results Maintain awareness of current developments in the functional discipline.

Develop a network of outside contacts such as suppliers, contract manufacturers, consultants, educators and appropriate continuing education courses Draw on extensive training in pharmaceutical science or pharmacology, including experience with pharmaceutical research and development formulation and working knowledge of tableting, two-piece encapsulation, granulation, fluid bed drying, and tablet coating to develop solid dosage nutraceutical, OTC (Over the counter) or prescription products such as Tablet (Immediate Release, Controlled release, Effervescent) and Capsule Provide scientific and technical leadership in developing over the counter (OTC) products Assist in execution of Sampling Protocols, Process Validation Protocols, Stability Protocols and reports for OTC products as per 21 CFR guidelinesWrite and review challenge study protocols, master manufacturing records, product development reports and technical transfer reports.

Manage multiple development projects and develop formulations in a timely manner Lead, coach, and mentor junior scientists, operators, and technicians
