Our unique SCFS also enables us to build most advanced Ransomware Solution in the industry The SCFS team consists of some of the best engineers in Silicon Valley and in India Responsibilities:We are looking for a senior engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and is an excellent team player As a member of the team, you will work on various aspects of the cloud file system:

• You will be responsible for the design, development, testing, delivery, and support of the Scale-out Cloud File System for VMware Cloud Disaster Recovery
• You will be responsible for defining, designing, and developing new features to detect and recover from ransomware attacks, including sensors to help monitor / detect onset of the ransomware attack and improving recovery performance during the ransomware recovery.
  
  
• You will engage with various teams within VMware to collect requirements for new features, and design and develop them
• You will work closely with the VMware Cloud team to integrate new features and capabilities
• You will participate in design and code reviews across the team

Required Skills:

• BS or higher in Computer Science with 10+ years of industry experience MS or PhD are a bonus
• Highly proficient in C/C++
• Strong foundational knowledge in data structures, algorithms and problem solving skills
• Proficient with multi-threaded programming, synchronization
• Experience in building distributed systems
• Ability to build features at a rapid pace without compromising product quality
• Troubleshooting issues in both production and non-production environments
• Communicating and collaborating across all functional teams
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and most importantly a team player

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with storage and file system technologies
• Experience in SaaS and cloud platforms like AWS/Azure/Google Cloud
• Experience with ransomware detection and recovery, and AI/ML techniques
