About Northern Trust:Northern Trust, a Fortune 500 company, is a globally recognized, award-winning financial institution that has been in continuous operation since 1889 Role/ Department:Summary: The job involves leading a team working for a Global Derivatives Process, specializing in administering end to end life cycle of derivatives (OTC) The position requires good experience and back ground in financial markets and OTC derivatives products The role includes a close supervision of the team, effectively handling escalations as well as communicating with internal and external clients Role: Team Leader Reporting to Section Manager Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise team, working on Over the Counter Derivatives product E2E trade life cycle activity of IOO Client.
  
  
• Ensure derivative trading activities are efficiently supported and ensure seamless day-to-day processing
• Organizes the work of the team, assigns tasks, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work
• Certifies the accuracy of the sign-off or tasks that get performed on a daily basis
• Reviews various documents with utmost accuracy and with a control perspective in mind
• Periodically reviews the procedure documents / checklists
• Frequently comes up with process enhancements / control measures and suggestions of improving the existing process flows
• Possesses very good leadership and organizational skills required to prioritize assignments and provide feedback regularly to staff
• To manage a team of Analyst, Sr Analysts & Technical coordinators and ensuring that any people or operational issues are handled as per the guidelines provided both at an organizational level and specific process level
• If the situation so demands then timely escalation of the matter to the next level of management
• Adherence to procedures and SLAs
• Identifies and manages resolution of service delivery root causes
• Ability to act as a process expert and own and resolve complex queries and issues not only of self but also for the immediate sub process
• Build and maintain strong relationships with all related departments and Middle Offices
• Review the work performed by other analysts and senior analysts
• Ability to train and mentor new hires on the process
• Pro-actively communicate the procedure updates to the team Ensures that all DPADs/client profiles are kept up to date at all times
• Excellent interpersonal skills for liaising with related departments and Middle Offices
• Excellent client handling skills

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• Work experience in financial industry: 8 years minimum, prior people management exposure will be given preference.
  
  
• Managing multiple stakeholders in Bangalore, Melbourne and Chicago would be the key expectation from candidate, hence prior exposure would be given a preference
• Extensive knowledge Over the Counter Derivative Products and its life cycle management
• Strong problem solving skills, detail and results oriented
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint presentations
• Excellent spoken and written English and the ability to handle business correspondence
• Self-starter with the ability to lead and motivate the team in a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding environment.
  
  
• Sound knowledge of the financial markets, instruments and back office and middle office functions
• Demonstrate high ethical standards
• Proactive and capable to handle multiple tasks under extremely time sensitive conditions
• Good understanding of trade economics related to various financial product transactions is an addition
