• Candidate with a BS.
  
  in English, Engineering or Science
• 1-3-year experience in translation with responsibility of technical documentation review

• Prefer 3 years semiconductor tool experience, either as a Customer Engineer (CE) or Process Support Engineer (PSE)

Requirements

• Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills
• Advance ability to speak and write fluently or native speaker in at least one language (Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, French, German, Italian) in addition to English

• Preferred experience with following technical publishing software:

• MS Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
• DITA XML: Oxygen Editor
• Content Management System (CMS): SDL Tridion Docs, SharePoint, Teams

• Ability to work in a cross-functional organization and multitask on multiple projects

• Must be a quick learner, self-starter, with strong attention to details and can work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-tech environment
• Knowledge of semiconductor industry preferred

Job Description, Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for review and approval of technical documentation translation from English to targeted native languages Ensures that there are no translation errors, accuracy of TermBase/ Do Not Translate (DNT) translation, and localized graphics.
  
  
• Work closely with translation Project Managers and cross-functionally with Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) to create, update and publish highly accurate translated service documents Suggest best practice for translation and review processes
• Report on translation quality metrics/targets and collaborate with managers to analyze operational effectiveness to meet quality standards
• Seek technically capable candidates to develop new products technical documentation and update legacy product documentation for semiconductor equipment
• Source relevant content knowledge from databases, pre-existing documents, tool builds and Subject Matter Experts to create, develop, update, and publish highly accurate, complete, and concise product and service documents on a timely basis

• Develop and author technical documents while adhering to publication processes and style guides Work with Applied Material's Manager to determine scope, deliverables, and schedule of documentation projects.
