S(he) is expected to have deep knowledge of underpinning technologies & consumer needs The incumbent would be responsible for building technology roadmap in line with consumer pain points to feed into Product Strategy for medium to long term S(he) will be responsible to identifying differentiating technologies, establishing proof of principle, assessing robustness while embracing HC Clean Future Strategy S(he) would also be responsible for scale up, feeding into the claims and KBS roadmap The incumbent must demonstrate vision for building Bars portfolio and identifying new opportunities to accelerate premiumisation via proprietary technologies.
S(he) is expected to collaborate closely with Science & Technology team, Bars Program Team, Partners, Industry Experts and Academia Additionally, the person would be responsible for building sound knowledge and expertise in team on Material Understanding and defining specifications for raw materials S(he) will be responsible for stepping up the understanding of first principles on Bar structuring through high end analytics in collaboration with MIFKey Skills: It is expected that the incumbent, during his/her work tenure, will need to deliver to the following key goals:
- Develop in depth understanding of the format and scope new technologies that would solve consumer pain points
- Harness the power of 1HC R&D by collaborating with S&T as well as MIF to define and deliver all technical aspects of the projects
- Build strong Partner program on HC Bars and evaluate Joint Development opportunities, where needed.
- Lead HC Bars Technology and Material Expertise Team Collaborate with Analytical team and MIF to step up mechanistic understanding on Bars Structuring
- Support scale-up activities & ensure robust technology transfer to Bars Program team and factories
- Provide inputs for developing differentiated claims & demo tool kits to bring alive the Superior technology edge
- Ensure that local insights, regulatory and legislative requirements are fed into Technology Roadmap.
- Build expertise on Material Understanding through Team and is accountable for creating and guarding Material Specifications
- Set robust process for technology validation and input into Capability build for HC Bars
- Build strong technical team by developing exceptional talents
- Set stretching targets and ensure appropriate coaching and mentoring is in place to support direct reports
- Motivate team in highly challenging circumstances.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Qualification - PhD/Postgraduate in Chemistry or B Tech (Chemical Engineering)
- Minimum 7-10 years' Industry experience, preferably in development of technology roadmap
- Strong business acumen to strike right balance between short term and medium to long term priorities for business growth
- Strong communication, experience of working in matrix system, building partnership framework, ability to lead high performing team, stakeholder management and line management are necessary skills for this job
