Wintel OS (2008,2012, 2016, 2019 & 2022) administration /Configuration / Troubleshooting Basic Understanding of DNS, Fileserver, RDP Gateway, Printmanagement, KMS Basic Skills on Hardware monitoring tool like Dell OME & HP SIM Support on proactive monitoring alerts Server commission and decommission Create new file systems and manage permission Manual OS patch installation and troubleshooting Local user management (creation, modification, password reset,and unlock) Experience on Physical and Virtual Server Monitoring & reportingtools like SCOM etc Hands on experience with VMware and Hyper-V virtualization Basic understanding on VM cloning, deploying from template, HA,DRS & FT Creating Templates from VM's, deploy VM's from templates andallocate resources Server shutdown and reboot task Performance monitoring for physical and VMs Create, modify, and delete network shares assign and maintainspace usage restrictions Physical OEMs hardware (DELL / HP/CISCO UCS) Administration /Configuration / Troubleshooting Management port knowledge (IMM, iDRAC, iLO) Hands-on experience for replacing faulty hardware parts like HDD,RAM/DIMMs, Power Supply etc Work on assigned task and activities from L2 team.
Basic understanding of ITIL framework Continually monitor environment to ensure best practices and setguidelines are being followed Coordination with 3rd parties andother units for resolution in incidents Should be flexible to work in rotational shifts Need to extend L2 support with hands on Experience in covering allthe below specified aspects regarding Windows OS installedphysical and Virtual Servers Monitoring and managing Windows server physical and Virtualserver performance Server commission & Decommission Work on Service request, Alerts, incident P2, P3, P41 For server downtime and reboot approve for schedule activitiesand task2 Coordinate for monthly security patching on windows servers3.
For server resource usage high, coordinate with application teamto close alerts4 For storage assignment, VM creation, IP address Administration and troubleshooting on Windows and vmware Hardware troubleshooting on HP, IBM and Dell servers Basic understanding on MS Cluster, File Server, Print server ITIL framework understanding Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently Readiness to demonstrate a proactive attitude Excellent verbal and written communication skills
